When asked if he had any memories from his career up to Britain, Fred pointed to the 1-1 draw against Wolves back in September 2018 – which sounds odd, but as a family man he had a great reason.
“I think there are many important moments here in a Manchester United shirt,” he smiled. “Unfortunately, we haven’t won the trophy yet, but I know it will happen this season.
“I think the first goal of my memory is the most important, my wife was pregnant, and I could celebrate with my son. I think it was one of my most unique moments in the Manchester United shirt. I have experienced many times of great joy here, for which I am very grateful.
