As well as being nominated for Sports Player of the Month, Bukayo Saka is also in contention to win the Premier League Player of the Month for January.
His sensational strike from long range against Manchester United is one of eight netbusters chosen as the best from last month, with fans offered the chance to help pick up the winner.
Bukayo’s moment came in the 53rd minute of the game at the Emirates Stadium last week. With the score locked at 1-1, he received the ball on the right side from Takehiro Tomiyasu, to elude Christian Eriksen and then, after the space he required, launched a rocket shot from 25 yards that fizzed past David. de Gea and into the bottom corner to send the home Luculli in echo.
That was his eighth strike of the season in all competitions so far, and one of the greatest ever in our colours, his spot on the scoresheet is fully deserved.
Against three goals for Brighton & Hove Albion players – Solly March and Danny Welbeck’s tries against Liverpool, as well as Kaoru Mitoma’s curler against Leicester City.
M. Rashford’s blast against us is also included, as is Daniel Podence’s strike for Wolves against Aston Villa, Michael Olise’s famous last-minute free-kick to earn Crystal Palace a draw against United, and Harry Kane’s turn against Fulham.
